I’m Y. Wilcox, a storyteller, podcast host and event experience curator who creates spaces for women to be heard, seen and celebrated.

Iya Henry is brought to you by Y. Wilcox, a mother, a leader, a lover and a girl, that dreams, loves, writes and talks, a lot.

As a Podcast Host, Writer & Blogger and Women’s Conference Organiser, my job — and my joy — is to hold space for those moments when someone stands up and says, “This is me. This is where I’ve been. This is what I’ve learned.” To listen. To celebrate. To remind people that their stories matter.

An author and women’s advocate, she understands that every woman is made up of multiple women; the entrepreneur, the food enthusiast, the therapist to all her friends, the mediator between her siblings, the judge, jury and executioner to her children and the list goes on. Each and every one of these women is important and deserves to have her story told. Through thought leadership, community engagement and storytelling across platforms, Y. Wilcox and Iya Henry continue to amplify women’s voices and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society.

Sofi is a dedicated children’s counsellor, passionate businesswoman and an avid enthusiast of healthy living. With a heart full of compassion and a mind driven by a desire to make a difference, Sofi chose the path of becoming a children’s counsellor to help young minds navigate the complexities of their emotions and experiences. 

In addition to her counselling practice, Sofi is a successful businesswoman, utilising her skills and knowledge to create positive impact in her community. She understands the importance of balancing empathy with practicality, making her an effective and reliable professional in her field. 

Outside of her professional life, Sofi is a culinary explorer with a keen interest in experimenting with new health food recipes. Her kitchen is a creative space where she combines her love for food with her commitment to a healthy lifestyle, constantly trying out innovative recipes that are not only delicious but also nourishing for the body and mind.

Radia turay

Friend. Sister. Attorney. Mother. Self-Care Enthusiast.

Radia is a public advocate serving on the Miami-Dade County Commission on Ethics and Public Trust (COE). With a strong sense of civic responsibility, she works tirelessly to uphold ethical standards and promote transparency within her community. Her dedication to the cause has made her a respected public figure, known for her integrity and commitment to public service.

In addition to her advocacy work, Radia is a passionate podcaster, using her platform to discuss and destigmatise issues important to women. Radia is also a self-care specialist, deeply committed to the soft life. Living by example, she promotes self-care practice in mental and physical wellness..

Furthermore, Radia is a cherished sister, known for her kindness and supportive nature. She values relationships and believes in the power of community, fostering connections that go beyond the surface and creating a sense of belonging for those around her.

SHEILA OJEI

Red. CEO. Dream Maker. Mentor. Creative.

Sheila, with her striking red hair and impeccable style, is not just a leader but a force of nature. A CEO who refused the grey t-shirt, black turtle neck and pinstripe suit, her ability to empower and inspire is perfectly embodied in her signature tangerine peplum blouse.

Beyond the boardroom, Sheila is a spoken word artist, weaving emotions into powerful verses that captivate audiences. She is also a visionary film producer, bringing compelling stories to life on retina screens. However, her true passion lies in mentoring others and seeing her friends succeed. She is not just a leader; she is a mentor and a guide, always ready to extend a helping hand to lift others up.

Despite her busy schedule, Sheila never loses sight of what truly matters to her: her role as a devoted mother. Balancing her high-powered career with her family life, she exemplifies the importance of nurturing personal relationships while achieving professional excellence.
